We visited an apple orchard...
We picked and picked and picked...
Then we peeled and cored and sliced... and ate...
The day was perfect... so we bought our fall mums...
And then we visited the hiking trails at Hidden Oak Nature Center...
We decided this is where we will have Andrew's birthday party. It will be a search for treasure on his Golden Birthday.
Ahhh... Nothing like a crisp, sunny fall day!

Oh, that is the perfect fall day. We also bought some fall mums today and a few other plants to enjoy some fall color.

I'm soo jealous that you guys get to still buy plants! Our nurseries are all done! Only our perennials are still alive, any annuals I had are starting to shrivel up & die from the cool fall weather we've been getting this week (up until now we were finally having summer!) Anyway, enjoy them!

oh yeah & treasure hunt birthday parties would be awesome! Will have to remember that for my son's party next year... there's a park across the street that could hide some cool stuff...
