I really need some new everyday dishes. The ones we have are at least a million years old. But we have kept using them because it really doesn't matter when someone drops one on the floor and it shatters. And with four kids, you can be sure they will be dropped.
All of the bowls are now broken and we are down to the exact number of plates we need for the entire family to eat a meal. I've been browsing the Cyber Monday sales and I keep finding myself attracted to this:
WAIT!
Right before I started my new job, our church changed its logo. To this:
I knew it was bad this fall when I painted the inside of my house. The walls are now a nice twig basket (light brown), camel (yellow) and a greenish-blue. I woke up after all of the walls were done and realized I had just painted my house in the colors of the logo.
Now dishes? Oh, my.
But what do you think about the square version?

I'm pretty sure I'm losing my mind. But it's good to know that those colors are in style.

Love the color combo of the dishes - even if it is just another version of your church logo. However, I strongly warn against the square version. My MIL has the square ones and they are really over-sized, too big for kids - especially the bowls. It seems like they would stack up nice in square cabinets, but they are soooo big, they just take up too much room. Have fun dish shopping!
Good to know about the square plates... I'm leaning toward the round ones since they include the dark brown/purple color. That is the color of the walls in my kitchen. :)
For the record... I designed my blog about a year before we got the new logo... Once again... THOSE colors!
those colors are very cool! love them! I'd make sure that the square plates would fit into your cupboards... heard lots of co-workers having issues with the newer styles of plates not fitting into their cupboards...
and yes they'd be heavier too...

Ha ha ha. I personally love the colors. And I need new dishes, too...after almost 14 years.
LOL... As soon as I saw the first dishes pic, I thought of your blog colors (from the past maybe?)... they are great... I'm way addicted to the aqua/teal and brown combo... my clothes, my walls, my furniture, my curtains... pretty soon it's going to become obvious to the whole world. Hey, if it works for you, go for it!
